Description
Center punches are designed for quick, precise marking of points on the surface of the material being processed, e.g. wood, metal or plastic.
Most often used to mark a point before drilling. The so-called scoring makes it easier to start drilling, limiting the unfavorable effect of the drill moving along the material surface.
The marking is created by striking the sharp end of the punch into the material. The traditional scoring method requires the use of a hammer.
