The Daiwa Powermesh rods are ideal for Tenya in medium depth waters, with a Silicone, or Fresh bait, rigged on a Jig head.

Magochi Tenya, or Hitotsu Tenya and Micro Jigging has been a very popular fishing style in recent years. This fishing style is based on rigging a soft silicone, or fresh lure to a heavy jig head, or a medium weight Jig. There is nothing new to the Tenya fishing style which targets prey, lurking in the bottom. Lift and let your jig fall again and you are getting instant hits.

The Daiwa Powermesh rod comes in a Casting Weight range of 20-70 gr. They are equipped with a very flexible tip which makes it possible to detect the slightest movement at the end of the line but also to deceive the suspicion of certain fish.

The Hitotsu Tenya is ideally combined with a jig head that resembles a Free Slide Tenya. It sinks quickly to the bottom and allows the rig to follow, at a slow pace. The main benefit of this fishing technique and the purpose the Daiwa Powermesh serves is that it allows you to be in direct contact with your bail and when the fish bites, it incorporates the necessary flexibility not to pull the bait back.

The most popular bait in the Mediterranean is live shrimp, but feel free to experiment with fresh squid tentacles, or silicone skirts. The falling motion of the skirt provides no discomfort to the prey, since the head sinks first and then the skirt follows. It appears natural and lures even weary fish, while at the same time you can feel the jaws of prey flirting, with the end of your line.
