Daiwa Revros 2023 LT Reels

Daiwa’s all new Revros LT Spinning Reels are a wonderful refresh of the well-known models, with plenty of new features that extenuate the LT concept. Upgraded with Daiwa’s exclusive high-density carbon Zaion V Body and an Air Drive Rotor and Bail, this new technology combines to ensure a smooth angling experience cast after cast.

Thanks to the combination and the synergies created by the high-end Daiwa technologies, the Revros 2023 LT reels, are incredibly light and just as robust. The Zaion V is made of high-density woven carbon, which anti-corrosion and durable. This exclusive material is being used in the design of the frames and rotors of Daiwa reels. It is a material between the Zaion and the DS5, used to lighten reels, while preserving resistance. In terms of rigidity, the Zaion V is a little harder and more durable than the DS5.

But Daiwa did not stop there with the 2023 Revros LT, as it included the Airdrive Technology, that until recently, could only be found in the Exist. The Revros LT include Airdrive Rotor, Airdrive Bail, Airdrive Spool and Airdrive Shaft. Daiwa engineers have developed these four major technologies, allowing for smooth and light rotation, reducing the weight of the rotor, spool and bail.

The newly developed Airdrive Rotor is made from Zaion. Maintaining the strength of the rotor from older Revros versions, Daiwa has been able to reduce the weight significantly. The Airdrive Rotor has been designed with focus to create a perfectly round structure, trouble free and flawless rotation have been achieved. The rotor unit itself has seen a 16% weight reduction compared to the previous model and will set the standard for what future rotor design of small spinning reels will be.

Daiwa has constructed a bail arm, smaller in diameter, whilst providing the required strength to achieve a further weight reduction to the front unit. The Airdrive Bail reduces the weight of the bail by 33% . Daiwa has adjusted the angle of bail setting, to improve the line movement into the roller. Careful attention was given to the roller and slider and individual design alterations were done for each size of the 23 Revros, perfectly adjusting the line management for each size of the reel.

The stand out features of the Airdrive Spool would have to be the newly shaped, spool skirt and the simple aesthetics. Just by looking at the spool it becomes clear that the overall weight has been reduced maximizing the smooth feeling. Reducing the spool weight creates many benefits for a reel; the total weight of the reel is reduced, oscillation is improved, less resistance during winding and rotation, better balance when attached to the rod and of course the reel feels light and easy to fish.

The Airdrive Shaft has a non-contact structure between the main shaft and the pinion gear. In addition to this, both ends of the Pinion Gear are now supported with bearings, to relay the crank power from the handle to the rotor with a higher level of efficiency. By adding high quality collars to the main shaft, rotational noise has been reduced significantly. The Airdrive Shaft creates the feel of smooth, quiet rotation and provides anglers with torque and power.

The smooth rotation of the 2023 Revros LT is supported by 4 Ball Bearings.

In the reel’s box you will find either a Dry Bag, or a Rod Holder, until their stock is depleted.
