Description
The New Saltiga overheads are built on machine cut aluminum bodies and yes they are available to right hand anglers.
The bearings for the pinion gear assembly, which have in the past been prone to serious corrosive damage from salt exposure, are housed using Daiwa’s Magseal system and which replaced the old bearings on both ends of the drive gear’s shaft. Mixing a liquid with iron isn’t easy, but Daiwa has mastered it in the Saltiga range. These are Japanese made corrosion resistant ball bearings, and the red inserts mounted on them each carries an integral magnet and in the small space between the inserts and the inner race of the bearing the magnetic fluid is permanently suspended in the force field of the magnets.
Featuring a waterproof Mag Sealed bearing and an ATD drag system these Saltiga models are the most sophisticated in their class.
Cranking back an impressive 1m of line per turn, this reel is perfect for Slow Jigging in deep water. The low leg on the reel allows you to enclose it in your palm for a very secure hold. Large capacity spool coupled with a powerful, smooth drag keeps you in control of hard fighting fish.
The Daiwa Saltiga 15 HL comes with a quick spool change system and a clicking drag. Every time a fish runs off you can hear the reel clicking and pick up the vibrations in your hand. What’s more, the handle can be adjusted from 85 to 95mm to fit your hand size perfectly.
Daiwa’s new ATD system, Hyper DigiGear are also utilized on this reel.
The new Daiwa Saltiga reels are going to be very popular among offshore lure anglers.
