Company Graphiteleader has produced again the classic Calamaretti Eging rod series, this time under the UX umbrella.
In the second generation of the Calamaretti family, Graphiteleader pursued lightness and sensitivity, to the degree most needed in an Eging rod. At the same time they have preserved the outstanding operability that goes with any Calamaretti rod. So the Calamaretti UX series has been rebuilt under the UX manufacturing method, without departing from its standards, such as the extremely high value to performance ratio and the easy handling, even by newcomers in the field of Eging.
The 832ML model makes casting easy. Its length at 2.52 m allows for easy handling when casting from the shore, rocks, of docks. This model has been designed to handle Size 3 squid jigs.
All Calamaretti UX Eging rods, use Fuji Stainless Steel Deep Pressed Frame, with new Slim SiC rings.
The rods are split in two sections
The joint part, in the two sections rods, is a slip-over ferrule , creating an elegant bending curve that looks like a one-piece rod.
The Calamaretti rods use a VSS reel seat.
The grip material is EVA, which has high strength and excellent corrosion resistance and is made into a separate grip for improved operability.
Blank Material & Technology
Fishing rods must be strong. It is also important to have the tenacity not to lose the battle to the target fish. Although they need to be light and have excellent maneuverability, they also need to reserve strength hidden inside.
At Graphiteleader they believe that a rod can only be considered excellent, if it has a good balance of Power, Distance and Accuracy , when it comes to in-shore rods. Similarly, they believe that the performance parameters required of Boat rod is measured against P , D , A and S . The Graphite Leader blanks are evaluated on the best balance achieved against these four factors, to create a blank design that best matches each fishing style.
The Graphiteleader Calamaretti UX rods have been developed under the Graphite Cloth LV concept. The difference from Graphite Cloth is the weight and molding thickness. It is a thin woven fabric, approximately 10% lighter, while maintaining the same vertical and horizontal fiber composition ratio. It is lightweight but strong material. The visual silhouette is also different from graphite cloth, with large squares that are characteristic of the carbon pattern.
