Description
The Picnic Set is comprised of kitchen utensils, for eating comfortably at the office, or outside. Designed in collaboration with designer Franck Fontana, the Picnic + set is a collection of clever and sustainable accessories for comfortable meals on the go.
The inserts are made of stainless steel, so they are pleasant to eat with, as well as being sturdy and hygienic .
The Picnic + Accessories consists of:
Two inserts, a fork and a spoon, that can be attached to the N08 knife
A microfiber towel case, that is both a storage and cleaning device
To attach the fork, or spoon:
– with the knife blade closed, open the rotating ring
– attach the fork or spoon onto the ring using the small nicks
– close the ring

Stainless Steel Sandvik 12C27
Opinel uses Sandvik 12C27, modified stainless steel for its knives. It is anti-corrosive thanks to the addition of chrome and requires no special maintenance. Its carbon content of at least 0.40% gives excellent cutting edge. Blade hardness is 57-58 HRC
Handle
Beech is the most commonly used wood for the manufacture of Opinel handles. From France, our beech is hard, durable and easy to work. With a homogeneous appearance, its light color varies from yellow to pink. It is characterized by the presence of numerous small dark dashes.
Virobloc
The Safety Ring was invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955. The Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all folding knives, from the N° 06 size. Cut out of stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade open , it is now possible to lock the blade closed .
Cleaning
With your Opinel open, run warm water on the blade and wipe with a sponge and washing-up liquid. Rinse the blade with warm water while taking care not to soak the wooden handle. Leave the blade to dry before closing .
Important: Do not immerse your knife in water as this could warp the wooden handle.
