The Shimano Bassterra Sea Bass rods represent an excellent value for money option, for the price conscious angler, looking for advanced construction materials and top performance spinning gear. One could say that they have been developed specifically for Sea Bass angling in the Mediterranean.

The Bassterra Seabass rods feature Full Carbon Blanks and are made with the pioneer technology Diaflash for responsive performance and total fish-playing control, in tight situations around underwater snags and rocks. The Shimano Diaflash technology, is based on a reinforced structure, that prevents twisting of the butt section in situations where high intensity is applied, for example during casting and fighting the fish. This technology conveys the pulling power of the angler to the target fish, without the loss of energy attributed to the flexing of the butt section.

At the same time Diaflash does not only generate the necessary strength for the rod to handle battles and achieve long casts, but also incomparable sensitivity.

The Bassterra blanks have been developed with a Medium-Fast action to give enhanced long ranged casting performance from the shore. They offer versatility and can be used both with Soft baits and Hard baits.

Shimano has equipped the Bassterra Seabass rods with Stainless Steel Seaguide XOG guides, resistant to corrosion and line tangles. The reel seat is VSS and the handles have been covered with EVA foam.
