The Beastmaster Tataki is an eye catching rod, designed by Shimano for squid fishing from the boat, using the vertical Tataki technique. The Beastmaster Tataki combines a sensitive, Solid Carbon tip, with a powerful Full Carbon blank, low profile guides enable this stunning rod to be used with Spinning, Baitcasting, or small Electric type reels.

Hidden underneath the distinctive outer finish of the Beastmaster Tataki is a Full Carbon blank, that has been fine tuned to enhance fishing the Tataki technique in deep water. So if you take your squid fishing seriously, you will almost certainly be familiar with the Japanese Tataki style of vertical jig fishing, using small Oppai squid jigs. This fishing style does require a special rod to maximize its effectiveness and thats where the Beastmaster Tataki excels.
